Summertime

Summer time

Summer is typically a slow time in the life of the Church. So the Oaks family has pursued some needed R&R. Below are two pictures from a recent time in the mountains.

But in reality, Church Planting never really slows down. Although we are not financially independent, many of the needs of a full Church are either active or being built. This is hard, but not a bad thing. For example: in the middle of this "slow summer season" we experienced a tremendous blessing of 9 new members.

Additionally, We are also exploring the addition of a grade school class. From the very beginning of this adventure our community has had lots of kids. As they grow older our ministry needs grow with them.

Check out our Website! We are putting new video content up and will by faith have our entire Philosophy of Ministry posted soon.

Big Reach

We are launching some new initiatives to engage the culture in exciting ways. By faith this will be in place for the Fall. Until then we have been exploring our 6 essentials and seeking to expand our small groups.

One of our biggest "wins" for the summer was a leadership retreat. Ten men gathered for an overnight workshop/discussion on the foundations and principles of Christ Fellowship.

We love Visitors

We are always grateful for guest to join us. Here is a quick glimpse into some of our recent guest. If your ever in the area we would love for you to join us.

There are many "Moore". But I couldn't find all the photos. :)

Please Pray

Our region has MEGA-Churches. But it is also a rapidly growing global city. It is drastically under Churched. One of our rising challenges is to build relational bridges with the global communities rising in our region. Specifically, credible cross cultural relationships
Also,
Please also pray for
  • Healthy internal giving - that we might become financially self sufficient
  • For upcoming leadership and elder training.
  • For new believers in Christ within our community
  • Protection from spiritual battles. These have been tremendously hard.
We are thankful for you!
