Grace Forward

"Teach me to pray"

Last week I sat in the basement of a coffee shop in Roswell with a group of guys exploring the concepts of grace and forgiveness. At the end of our time one of these men (an accomplished leader in his industry with many of the rewards the world offers) said he had been running from God, but does not think God would hear him. He thought putting his kids in private Christian education would make God happy, but now he knows that was just a mask. I briefly talked about Jonah and prayer. I told him he could talk to GOD right now if he wanted. He accepted. It was beautiful. In short he said, "God, I don't know if you can hear me, I would like to talk to you, please teach me to pray." This Friday I am giving him a bible and a commentary on the Psalms. Please pray for his heart as he continues to discover God's Grace in Christ.

Sharing a Meal

The logistics of launching weekly services took a lot of energy. Much of that is starting to return on the investment. To celebrate the end of our first series and the beginning of another we had a picnic after a recent gathering. The weather turned sour so we moved it indoors. Which became a blessing in disguise. When I see this picture I am reminded that every bit of this process belongs to God! (The line extended beyond the picture to the right.)

Please Pray

Please pray that God would be glorified as we pursue our mission statement. "To be a gospel centered, outward facing Church. With a passion to see Christ Kingdom flourish in our communities and surrounding region."
  • Healthy internal giving - that we might become financially self sufficient
  • For upcoming leadership and elder training.
  • For new believers in Christ within our community
  • protection from spiritual battles (these have been hard)
We are thankful for you!
