God's Provision

Coming Up for Air

We have not sent an update since we launched our regular services back in mid January. By faith some sense of normal will soon return. While most of this update refers to the life of the Plant, I must give you a quick update on our past three weeks.

Most of this adventure has been beautiful. However, there have been some obstacles that many believe are good old fashioned spiritual attacks. Recently these attacks have increased in substantive ways. So about three weeks ago heather and I ended the day with two prayer request. The first was filled with questions and the other was for someone to offer a place at the coast for spring break.

Honestly, the next morning I called a buddy to clarify some details. At the end of the conversation he asked me to swing by his place. when I got there he handed me an envelope written with Matthew 11:28 (Come to me all you who labor, and I will give you rest).

He and his wife had been asking God how they could provide "rest" for someone. The envelope had enough cash to get us to the Low Country for Spring break.

My buddy said "God loves you very much" and that was a beautiful word. So we went to Sapelo island and experienced the kindness of God. Sapelo is only accessible by a 30 minute ferry. So we abandoned our car for the week and went "off the grid". While there one of the local ladies stopped by and said "My Husband and I would like to treat your family to dinner and make a birthday cake for Heather". When I seemed confused she said "Just hear God say Yes".

And so it was God smiling in the low country on an island where we would go hours without seeing another person.

Keeping it short

Once again, we are sorry for the delay in updates. The process of launching combined with some peripheral issues was fairly taxing. We hope to resume regular updates soon. Below are some of the highlights from our first series and Easter.
  • After a 6 week initial series, we launched 2 women's small groups with a third one launching at the end of the Spring.
  • Our men's communities have expanded to 4 groups with hopes of a fifth in the summer. Some of these men were able to celebrate community in the North Georgia Mountains.
  • Beginning April 15th we will Launch our Second sermon series.
  • There are currently around 60 people in weekly attendance.
  • One of the Leaders of Roswell's Municipal organizations said. "We are so glad your here, it is the perfect time to plant a new Church in Roswell"
  • Several in our community are hearing the gospel for the first time!

Please Pray

Please pray that God would be glorified as we pursue our mission statement. "To be a gospel centered, outward facing Church. With a passion to see Christ Kingdom flourish in our communities and surrounding region."
  • Healthy internal giving - that we might become financially self sufficient
  • For upcoming leadership and elder training.
  • For new believers in Christ within our community
  • protection from spiritual battles as we return to Roswell.
We are thankful for all our supporters, especially you!
