Brian was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He met his wife (Heather) during his final semester at Auburn University. He was preparing to enter the missions field and she had another year of school remaining. Across ocean waters their relationship grew. They were married in the spring of 2001.
Western North Carolina became home for the first steps of their marriage. Brian worked in sales and Heather taught in a local private school. Eventually starting his own business, the years in the marketplace were fruitful. But this was not to continue. God’s call to the ministry could no longer be ignored, so he enrolled in seminary at Beeson Divinity in Birmingham Alabama.
The following years were challenging. As a full-time student and full-time minister there were many obstacles (blessings) for both Brian and Heather. Each of these obstacles are testimonies of God’s love and care. You can read excerpts from this time on his blog: Table Grace.
They have three children. Chapel, Mason and Cannon.
