Arriving

Sending and Receiving

Below you will see some pictures from our final days in Birmingham and some of our first days in Roswell.
Last Sunday we were immensely blessed by our brothers and sisters at Altadena Valley. These amazing friends lavished us with hospitality during our term of transition. We never expected to be so freely received and lovingly sent. It was a beautiful image of Christ body. In this picture you see a portion of the community covering/commissioning us in prayer. (Thanks to Nikki Armstrong for the photo)
On Thursday we pushed away from shore. We gave thanks to GOD for David and Dianne Cost (Heather's parents) who shared the burden of Church planting for a season. When things seemed too heavy, they demonstrated great strength and carried the load with us. On more than one occasion Dianne affirmed "GOD called us to this also." By midafternoon we had arrived in Roswell. Our first stop was a park near our new home and the children's new school. (see photo below)

After some leg stretching, we drove around the corner and met some long anticipated 1st and 4th grade teachers. We could not be happier with GOD's provision. The entire school administration has received us with open arms.

These blessings have been the answer to many prayers from many people. However, one blessing received was never anticipated. Given the timing of our move and logistics of the home purchase, we find ourselves temporarily sheltered by another. This unlikely portion of time is GOD's love and providence. Below you will see a photo of John and Mary Jane Norris. These saints have flipped their home for us. They are living in the guest bedroom while our family occupies the main quarters.

I am truly amazed at God's provision. The stress of transition will continue for some time. But its weight has been drastically reduced through these hands of Christ.

Next week we will close on our home (YEAH!). Until then we are filling out papers and registration forms. It seems the School, City, State and about everyone else uses separate documentation. UGHHH.

Pray With Us

  • PRAISE! We are in Roswell.
  • PRAISE! our season in Birmingham was joyful.
  • PRAISE! While we still lack Monthly and Onetime gifts, the year end giving has closed the gap significantly. I do not know the exact amount because MNA is still processing reports.
  • The spiritual health of our future community.
  • Our children as they adjust to new friends and start over again.
  • The remainder of our financial needs (emphasis on monthly).
