Out of the Ashes
It looks like the home search has ended! We are thrilled to take the next step of Church Planting in the Roswell Region! We are also thankful to see the relocation process coming to a close. Imagine you've lost your car keys. Now imagine that you must conduct the search from 2.5 hours away via phone. Did you look under the sofa? How about the garage? the medicine cabinet? the freezer? Sofa, trash, garage, sofa, dirty clothes.. did you look in the freezer? AGHHHH! Searching in uncertain locations for something real can drive you bonkers.
I wish I could tell you all the details of this process. Let me just say, this time last week we had an offer on a different home, only to discover that the seller's side stepped their realtor and negotiated a different deal offline. Two days earlier we viewed a home with a surprise 300K liability. You might remember our last inspection on a house that was an HGTV nightmare and water running under the foundation. The list goes on. Because of regional growth and budget constraints, the homes we could gain access to were often available for a reason.
HOWEVER, Last Thursday morning (7 days ago!) we received notice of a new listing. We had seen a similar home in the same neighborhood and knew time was valuable. Without viewing the home we submitted an offer. By the hair of our chin we got in first and secured the deal with four other offers immediately following. Another blessing was the sellers not forcing us into a bidding war with the other potential buyers. You are reading a very condensed version of this story. But it is a wonderful story of God's providence and provision. To Him be the Glory and Praise!
Right now I am sitting in the dining room of future gatherings hearing a positive inspection report. Earlier this afternoon we registered our little acorns for Mountain Park Elementary. It will take a couple weeks to tie up loose ends in Birmingham. By Faith we will increase our investment in the Roswell Region very soon!
We praise God for his provision during this transition time. In the end it looks like we will arrive about 30 days after our goal. Right now that feels like an eternity. But God's timing on home and Church are certainly better than ours.

- PRAISE! We hope to move within weeks
- PRAISE! God is at work!
- Our children as they say good-bye to the friends they have made and prepare to start over again.
