Grateful

 

24 years grateful As the year comes to a close, I am reflecting on the many paths Heather and I have traveled and contrast them with our current blessings. From Auburn, missions in China, launching several ministries stateside, and now NEW VERTRICAL, God has blessed us in so many ways. Especially the privilege of exploring the deep questions of life and faith with amazing friends (especially those who read this).  Lately I have been reading through the book of Acts and 1 Peter. It is very humbling to consider how God builds his kingdom through us. Especially when those paths are so often counterintuitive.  In our last newsletter I talked about a man "named" Ernest. The two of us will meet for breakfast this week and I will give him a bible as we begin to explore its meaning and message. It sounds simple, but I consider it a tremendous privilege to meet with another man and explore how to know and grow in relationship with the God of the Cosmos.    I am grateful for your prayers and support through all the years. God has blessed us with some amazing relationships. He is faithful and you are loved.

2025 Revised Newsletter   Reminder. In 2025 we will migrate our updates away from "Plant The Oaks" to a newsletter dedicated to NEW VERTICAL. We initially used PLANTHEOAKS as a familiar platform. However, as we gain traction and grow, it is important to move away from content centralized on our family and develop a platform that focuses on marketplace ministry.  This is in keeping with our larger Strategic Plan to build an organization for chaplains across multiple communities.
