A New NormalNEW VERTICAL is developing on multiple fronts. As part of this process I have been finalizing a strategic ministry plan and an impact report. Candidly, I was not prepared for the results. I would compare it to hearing about Hurricane Katrina, but walking the streets of the lower fourth ward is an entirely different experience.
The full report will be 8 pages. Currently I have incorporated some of the content into the website here. I will warn you, the data set is real and eye opening. Here are some samples

Once we acknowledge that Millennials are the largest group in our culture and Gen Z will soon overtake them we are in a better place to consider the reality of America's future.
This graph represents the percentage of people in America who claim to be Christian. (This data set is pre-pandemic, so it's likely accelerated)
I will post a link to the full repost in my next newsletter. In short there are four realities we must acknowledge. - Tomorrow will be fundamentally different from yesterday
- Gen Z (aggressively entrepreneurial) is shaping the future of our communities.
- 75% of the next generation is not interested in corporate worship
- Churches are too busy with internal needs to consistently do evangelism in the community.
New Vertical fits this gap perfectly. With an intentional discipleship process we can engage the marketplace with the gospel, support the Church and seek the flourishing of Christ's Kingdom.
