New and Old

TOP 20 in the Region

Last month we had a community event called the Pumpkin Painting Party. The goal was to engage the community on the three levels mentioned in our vision statement (Live Work Play). Honestly, we began the event believing our efforts would be just a "test run" for 2019. How can we deepen relationship, reach the lost and help the community at the same time. An amazing team dreamed of ways to accomplish this goal while keeping it simple.

This multi-layered approach yielded immediate unexpected results. Three days before the event, it got posted to Facebook. Then it drifted into the twitter sphere. By the weekend it was listed on Alpharetta's website as one of the Top 20 things to do in the city. It was a huge success. Below is a photo after the bigger crowd left.

171 Years

We are new to Roswell. While this has benefits it also means we are not the only Church. In an effort to maximize our energies we are forming a friendship with Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. This is the oldest African American Church in North Georgia. As a first step in the friendship we (Christ Fellowship) were invited to celebrate their 171 year anniversary.
Our two churches shared a meal and I was given the honor of preaching Psalm 150. It was an AMAZING time. By faith we will be serving the city alongside PHMBC for many seasons to come.

Tracking Growth - Giving

We are not yet financially self sufficient. But our community is growing and the gospel is being proclaimed in our neighborhoods. As we consider the current trends in our community we are beginning the process of training officers. This includes Elders and Deacons. By Faith we will ordain these men to leadership offices this coming spring/summer.

Praise & Thanks

This January will be the three year anniversary of our move. Back in 2016 there was no existing core group. All we had was three connections and Google maps. Everyone always says that Church planting is hard, but shortly after relocation this plant became far more "scratch" than we anticipated. This brought many long and challenging nights. God has been faithful. We thank him for you are your support.

Please Pray

Please pray for
  • Continued Missional Giving
  • Healthy internal giving - that we might become financially self sufficient
  • For upcoming leadership and elder training.
  • For new believers in Christ within our community
  • For the Oaks. Our Family is healthy, but 2018 was far more challenging than we ever expected.
We are thankful for you!
