LAUNCH IT!!!

Launch Planned (Jan 14th)!

We are preparing for full public launch on January 14th! This series - "Walking with Jesus" has been a long anticipated event since the summer of July 2014. By God's GRACE we will continue to see Christ Kingdom grow. The biggest metric for this transition was the development of Outward face discipleship. While there is still a lot of work to be done, we are amazed at what He has already provided.

Join Us!

We would LOVE for any of our supporters / friends / whoever to celebrate this time with us (that includes you Birmingham and Montgomery). If you have come before then you need to know we are in a new location! Visit www.gatheredbygrace.com for details.

Balancing

We need to raise one year (in addition to the three year plan) of financial support. Some resources we anticipated in the planning phase have been unavailable. The result is a need for a longer runway.

Imagine standing on two rocks in a stream. Moving from one rock to the next requires a shift in balance and weight. The Church plant (the rock we are shifting to) is emerging from the water strong and healthy. But not yet ready for our full weight. We are asking for one additional year commitment to help us prepare for a solid foundation.

All gifts (one time, monthly and recommitments) are valuable. Tax deductible donations can be made through our online portal here.  100% of donations go to the work. Or you can email Brian here with questions.
  • If you have difficulty in renewing your support the fastest and easiest way to resolve any funding issues is to contact Karen Fowler at 678-825-1223 or email her at kfowler@pcanet.org

Engaging is Discipleship

For the better part of 2 decades I have been waving the two sided flag of discipleship. This adventure in Church planting is maturing to "flag waving station". What I mean is: In our current phase, we are developing (slowly) deep nourishing Christ centered relationships, and at the same time mobilizing these relationships into the open air of our communities where we live work and play. By faith, these groups will be internally healthy and engaging. Hopefully these communities will one day multiply into future Churches that seek to engage their communities for the Life of the World and the Glory of Christ.

Email problem fixed

There was a short period of time that the "brian@planttheoaks.com" email was not functioning correctly. We apologize for this inconvenience. It should be fixed now. If you ever have difficulty with it you can also reach me at brian@gatheredbygrace.com

One Last Run

In preparation for our launch we have shifted to a weekly service. While this might seem like a launch (and it sorta is) it is an opportunity for us to:
  • do some last minute tunes ups
  • revisit the vision - "To worship and enjoy God as we Live Work and Play"
  • prepare for the next phase of discipleship development
This weekly shift has fallen perfectly inline with Advent. We are leaning on John Piper's book "The Dawning of Indestructible Joy".  You might consider joining us in the process. Click here to read two blog post about our process (one is about last week's sermon and the other about Advent).

Please Pray

  • For our year end giving. This transition from Mission to Church is critical. We want it to be healthy.
  • That our amazing community will maintain its DNA as we further open the doors.
  • A restful remainder of 2017. This past fall was seasoned with some exceptionally challenging circumstances.
  • Give thanks to God for the Churches who regularly support us with financial and relational capital.
Thank you core group!  You are the Church!
Thank you donors!  We are so grateful for your support!

This work has been more scratch than we anticipated, So we are raising an additional 1yr of support (from 3 years to 4 years). Any Gift is helpful. Tax deductible donations can be made through our online portal here.  100% of donations go to the work. Or you can email Brian here with questions.
