Shifting the Process
This summer was an immersion into the "deep end" of scratch planting. It's now clear that our former pattern for sending updates will no longer work so we must shift the process. To clarify, the "deep end" is fabulous! But it has forced me to acknowledge several boundaries. I wish I could maintain the previous pattern of reporting, but it is clear that a failure to adapt will foster problems. So, we're modifying our reporting structure (and hopefully providing more information).
Our first attempt will be to merge our weekly Church communications into this newsletter. This will change the style of our reporting significantly, but it will hopefully provide our supporters with greater insight and our family with more margin.
The point is that we (from necessity) will switch to weekly reporting . We were very reluctant to do this for several reason. But for the next 6-9 months this needs to be the new process. And hopefully a beautiful one!
Additionally, so much is happening we cannot consolidate it into monthly reports. For example. We just ended a three week series that culminated in our first membership class. As a mission Church the Book of Church Order allows scratch plants to form membership and temporary governance. This is vital for us as we look towards preview services beginning September 10th. In this three week series we reviewed our ministry plan and philosophy of ministry. This series alone has more exciting updates than we can communicate in a reasonably sized email. You will gain more understanding as the reports progress from here on out.
From Discipleship/Evangelism to relocating for preview services, we want you to be in the know. While the format of our Church updates wont be perfect. It should be a better solution. Here are some growing needs

- for 8 "outward facing" families to come alongside our amazing community. These could come from sister PCA Churches, or other gospel believing communities in the region.
- For the healthy transition from "community formation" to "Neighborhood Communities". We believe neighborhood communities deepen existing relationships while opening the door for gospel proclamation.
- For a smooth transition to our new location. We hope to have preview services beginning every other week starting Sept 10th.
