LIVE WORK PLANT
God is doing great things and we are excited about the recent happenings. The blessings far outpace our ability to report it. So far several families have committed to our group and are meeting on Sunday nights. They are a joy! Additionally, about seven men have been meeting weekly to pray for Christ Kingdom. God allowed one of the men and I to share the gospel together and welcome a new brother in Christ into Gods eternal kingdom. Praise the God who rescues! Lastly, there are many believing (and non-believing) families who are interested in the church plant. In all, we see God working and it is tremendously hard and amazingly beautiful.
One frustration has been how to give information about the Church plant to the people we are meeting. Finding a solution was very challenging. Frankly put, the PlantTheOaks site just doesn't work as a platform for the Church. It works great as an update on us, but on issues of Mission, Vision, and strategic steps it falls short. This has been a consistent need since our arrival. While a picture of us helps, it does not advance the gospel.
The greatest obstacle in communication was "how". By faith the Church will live long with a beautiful name. Currently, as we pray and gather people the location and name are not clear. Delaying this name for another couple months in the long run will soon be a memory. But for now it makes it hard to find a central place for communication. SO.... We decided a temporary website would be the perfect solution. A website that could share our values while not binding us to a place or name just yet.
So here is where this is all going. We will continue to send PlantTheOaks updates once a month. However, we are now launching a new platform designed to send out weekly reports. This new platform is NOT the church name. But it does reflect our values. Updates will include information on: Church Vision, Values, Spiritual Births, Open Gathering Locations (oh yeah, that starts in June!), and many other things that don't work in PlantTheOaks.
We are still finalizing the platform so please be patient. Additionally, sometime in the near future we will mirror the existing PlantTheOaks subscribers list to the new platform. Once this is done you will be notified. This is an exiting time. We cant wait for you to learn more at WWW.LIVEWORKPLANT.COM
