Georgia on My Mind
11 months ago we called PODS and put the relocation process in motion. The house search was finally coming to a close and the dream of moving to the Church Planting field was feeling real. Looking back, I am amazed at how much has happened in such a short amount of time. The rapid pace of transition has been at every level: Family, Church, Neighborhood, Home etc.. Below is a picture from Chapel's 11th Birthday party. The turnout was awesome! This might not seem like a big deal. But the challenges of relocating and assimilation can be overwhelming. So seeing this kind of response was very encouraging.
This photo is a good example of our weekly life. Our yard is the daily congregation of candy wrappers, socks and Nerf bullets. Last week a few men from the neighborhood gathered in our basement for a weekly prayer meeting. The goal of this gathering is to ask God to use us for his Kingdom in our neighborhood.
You might recall from our last few updates that the Church has a name. Christ Fellowship. Well, since that time we have been laboring in two directions. 1. We have been talking and praying through our 6 essentials (Welcoming, Restoration, Creating, Giving, Worship and Truth) and learning what it means to manifest these essentials to our communities. 2. We have been building the foundations for a healthy organization. The biggest challenge in this process is Childcare. Last week (January 29th) was the first Sunday we engaged our new Children's ministry team. They have done a tremendous job!
God has blessed Christ Fellowship with a wonderful community. We are very small, but we are learning how to love and serve together for Christ Kingdom.
Additionally, God has blessed Heather and I both with numerous connections with non-Christians. I have the honor of meeting with three men who have never read the scriptures. While these three men are at the top of my prayer list, there are at least ten others I am seeking to connect with.

February Update.
We are sitting on multiple exciting updates. We will include these in the February posting. Until then please pray for:
- Continued growth (in depth and number) for our core group, These saints are amazing, and sacrifice a great deal to join this work
- Financial provision: support always ebbs and flows. We did receive some year end gifts but still lack monthly external (non-congregational) support.
- Space - There will come a time in the near future when our space will be insufficient. PLEASE PRAY FOR CLARITY WISDOM AND DIRECTION for a new space.
- Pray for the neighbors and coworkers of Christ Fellowship. We are prayerfully asking God to open doors for us in our communities,
- Pray for new Christians in the communities were we Live Work and Play!
